about

Carnaval op. 9
Waldszenen op. 82
Kinderszenen op.15

I have listened to De Beenhouwer with the greatest surprise and satisfaction. That man continues to file all his life on the music that is most dear to him, and it is really an artistic act that you allow him to spread the result.
Schumann is recorded a lot nowadays, and there are also many good shots, but this one can measure itself with the very best in intensity and clarity. Traumerei is one of the best recordings ever. It's very difficult to stay focused. Who was the sound engineer?
(Hugo Sledsens, (Canvas), November 3, 2005

This Schumann CD is a wonderful addition to Phaedra's rich catalog, and with the "Waldszenen" offers a discovery that no Schumann enthusiast should miss out on.
Tristan Faes (November 2005)

This is a wonderful Schumann game, audibly proficient by someone who has been dealing with this complex matter for years.
Finally, Phaedra provided a beautiful, crystal-clear recording and turned it into a festive whole. Everything works together here to make the CD a more than worthy opening of the Schumann year 2006.
